Getting To Australia
The trip was long...27 hours. Geesh! My butt was numb and my legs were asleep by the end of it. But now I am here in Australia! Yay! Sorry this post took so long. I got here on Wednesday (which is Tuesday for yall) and it has taken me this long to get my internet working.

Send Off
Dad and Daniel drove me to the airport after we had lunch/dinner and frozen custard for dessert. Yummy! Mom and Tina had to stay at the theatre with the kids in the Workshop.
I have my passport and plane ticket and I am ready to go! It is kind of blurry (okay....really blurry) but you can see dad and Daniel (in the green circle) behind the security line.

Airplane #1
My first flight took about 5 hours. I had an open seat next to me so I at least had some more room to move around in. They played a movie, Safe Haven. It was a pretty good movie, not as good as The Notebook though. I got off the plane in L.A., California.
While I was waiting for my next flight, there was a guy sitting across from me that looked exactly like Colin Ferguson, the cop on the tv show Eureka. I wanted to ask him if he really was Colin Ferguson, but then I felt like a creepy fan girl. Haha.

Airplane #2
This flight took 12 hours! Thankfully the seats were a bit more comfortable and roomy, but I had to sit between two other people. This plane gave everyone their own tv screen to watch any movie or tv show they wanted, play games, and listen to music.
After I slept (tried to sleep), I was served breakfast. It looked and tasted yummy!
I was now in New Zealand, Just one more flight to go. The NZ airport is incredible. It is like a huge mall. Plus, (mom and Susan B. will appreciate this) instead of using those thin paper seat covers, they have seat sanitizers! You put the cleaner on a little bit of toilet paper and you can wipe the seat down. Nice and Clean! :)

Airplane #3
The final flight lasted about 3 1/2 hours! I got the window seat this time, so I got to watch us leave beautiful New Zealand and us enter my new home for the next 6 months, Australia. I was exhausted during this flight but I figured I shouldn't sleep so that I actually sleep tonight when I go to bed.
Once off the plane and through baggage claim, I made my first friend. Cali and I waited for our driver to come pick us up and take us to our apartments. She is also going to RMIT, but for fashion. Our driver was really nice and gave us lots of tips.
Remember Colin Ferguson from the flight before? It was really him!!! I saw his driver with a card saying 'Colin Ferguson' on it! I was sitting inches away from a celebrity...at an airport. :P

My Room
I live in a little hole-in-the-wall apartment, but it is functional. Plus, I don' t plan on spending much time here other than to sleep, eat, and shower anyway.
I have a single bed, a closet with about 15 hangers, 3 drawers and a couple of shelves. However, the room is actually pretty spacious. The bathroom is split so that the shower and the toilet are in seperate rooms. That is nice since there are 5 of us living here. In the kitchen, there is a stove, a sink, a fridge and freezer, and a microwave. I have my own cabinet to put my food in.
